(AMT, Inc.) is seeking a highly motivated **Transportation Project Engineer** to assume a key role in the firms growing Richmond, Virginia office. Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 4 years of experience working on transportation design projects for VDOT and Virginia localities **Responsibilities**

+ As a Transportation Project Engineer, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading a design team, coordinating with other disciplines, working closely with the Project Manager, performing Quality Control reviews, client coordination, adhering to established budgets and schedules, and assisting with RFP responses and oral presentations.

+ The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the engineering and preparation of roadway and storm drainage construction plans for a variety of infrastructure improvement projects.

+ Design tasks may include: roadway, trail and sidewalk design; open and closed system storm drainage; stormwater management; erosion and sediment control plans; Transportation Management Plans; signing and pavement marking plans; traffic signal plans; quantity and cost estimating; utility coordination; and other engineering design and support tasks related to the development of roadway construction plans.

**Qualifications**

+ Virginia licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months

+ Minimum of 4 years Transportation / Civil Engineering experience

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and lead a design team

+ Technical proficiency with Microstation/Geopak/OpenRoads

+ Must possess strong communication skills (written and oral)
