PACS Imaging Support Specialist

The Imaging Informatics Specialists acts as the first point of contact for all customers seeking technical support over phone, email or chat for a variety of imaging systems (PACS), software and hardware across the Health system. Ensures smooth daily operations by troubleshooting issues, assists with upgrades and testing, maintains ticket system records and knowledge base.Required Knowledge & SkillsEducation: Associate Degree or 2 years of college courseworkExperience: Two years of related experience. Requires working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.Licenses and CertificationsNONE REQUIREDQualificationsMust work well as a team member.Can communicate effectively orally and in writing.Must be detail oriented and well organized.Must be able to develop and maintain professional relationshipsPrefer graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology or have an appropriate IT background.Prefer 2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist or 2 years IT experience.Demonstrated excellent problem solving skills.Has in-depth understanding of Imaging PACS and related software systems as well as general computer knowledge.Computer literacy (spreadsheets, word processing, database management, Microsoft Office)Must have strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines.Knowledge of SQL database, HL7 and ability to write database queries is preferred.Being a part of Tanner Health System is more than a job, it is a promise we make to treat every patient with exceptional service every time they walk through our doors. Works with HIM to clean up duplicate and erroneous data.Responsible for updating knowledge base by maintaining all documentation required by product system manuals or service contracts. Helps design training tools for end users.Assists with upgrades and validation of multiple applications and systems within imaging. keeps detailed records of testing and issues. Escalates system errors as necessary to next tier.First point of contact for all customers seeking technical support for PACS, imaging software and hardware across the healthcare system. Maintains ticket system, logging issues, troubleshoots, provides support, next steps and resolution.Assists Medical Staff on use of workstations, remote and web- based products.Training new users of the PACS system and related systems used within Imaging Departments across the healthcare system.Provides support for multiple applications and systems by remotely troubleshooting issues, escalating to next tier as necessary.Assists in the creation and management of down-time procedures for various system components.Call duties as assigned.Maintains effective communication and working relationships with all stakeholders.Other related duties as assigned.Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance Program. Is responsible to detect, observe and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, Compliance Officer or HOT LINE.Works within the framework established by the IT and Imaging Informatics Departments and follows all appropriate policy and protocols put in place by the IT and Imaging Informatics Departments.Researches solutions prior to implementation to limit adverse effects on end users, other data or software hardware.Prioritizes work.Compliance StatementEmployee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program.
