JOB SUMMARY Manages diverse human resources functions including employee onboarding/offboarding, performance management, and policy implementation. Partners with management and employees to execute HR and talent strategies that enable the accomplishment of business objectives, promote a positive work environment and support our culture and processes. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as the HR business partner in the areas of compensation, employee engagement, employee relations, compliance, metrics, staffing and performance management systems programs for all teammates at the plant. Identifies staff vacancies and collaborates with managers/talent acquisition team for candidate selection and successful onboarding of new teammates. Provides direction, counsel/coaching, and analytics to help leaders make talent decisions and promote employee engagement and positive employee relations. Partners with union bargaining committees to manage labor relations and contract administration. Monitors compliance with all state and federally mandated leaves of absences/accommodation policies and programs (FMLA, USERRA, ADA). Analyzes training needs and drafts salaried and hourly HR-related employee development plans. Develops and facilitates various training programs, including orientation and safety-related trainings. Organizes culture-enhancing events. Participates and/or leads projects and special initiatives within and outside the HR function as assigned. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor degree in related field, particularly Human Resources, is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Human Resources within manufacturing. Minimum of 2 years experience supporting HR in a collectively bargained environment preferred. Experience using/exposure to Human Resources Information Systems, particularly Workday, is preferred. KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / COMPETENCIES Working knowledge of Human Resources & Safety laws, including Affirmative Action/EEOC requirements, DOL laws, Leave of absences (FMLA, USERRA, ADA) and OSHA. High ethical standards. Strong organizational and planning skills with ability to focus time on the most important and urgent issues. Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills to interact with internal team members and external customers. Goal oriented, aggressive self-starter with an entrepreneurial personality who can make strategic decisions with a sense of velocity and urgency. Requires on-site presence to support manufacturing teammates.
