General Summary

The Product Manufacturing Proposal Engineer - Functions in supporting all aspects throughout the manufacturing quoting process from initial conception from Sales to delivery to the end customer. The Product Proposal Engineer communicates and collaborates with internal departments, including sales, pricing, assembly, production control, quality, engineering, product marketing, and product technology, daily to provide costing and lead time for manufacturing quotes on a timely basis to assist in reaching company objectives. This position will also lead selected projects as a Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Assess capability and create customer quotes for REI-manufactured products. Evaluation of the manufacturing costs, component costs, and lead time to bring the product to market supports the required actions associated with new product introductions. Provides technical support for product marketing and sales on RE-manufactured products. Performs capability and financial assessments on new business opportunities. Review contract requirements internally within other departments to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded throughout the quoting process for manufactured products. Provides support on a range of products and services to internal departments and externally to customers. Direct Project Management on selected projects within the Project Management Office (PMO). Supports sales and product marketing through collaboration with the Pricing Manager, Production Control, Engineering, Assembly, and Quality Assurance Groups. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent A minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in the semiconductor manufacturing industry Direct experience as a Project Manager leading technology development projects and experience with MS Project software Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project Excellent verbal and written communication skills Positive attitude with an ability to absorb and learn quickly Ability to influence others internally and externally to achieve the best possible outcome, including those from differing cultures, languages, and backgrounds A strong team player Ability to work through a problem and maintain focus with little or no supervision Flexibility and multi-tasking, ability to undertake several tasks and manage them efficiently.
