to join their team.
The
Director of Procurement
will oversee and manage the procurement processes for the company. This role includes leading a team, purchasing goods and services in line with company policies, negotiating prices, and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with program management, materials management, production planning, and other internal and external stakeholders.
What you will be doing:
Oversee and manage department staff and daily operations.
Select suppliers and place orders to ensure the highest quality products, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with various departments to identify and maintain resources necessary for effective production supply.
Establish and monitor performance metrics to evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency and achieve set goals.
Ensure sufficient supply of materials to optimize production processes.
Evaluate current inventory procedures and suggest improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and profitability.
Negotiate pricing and long-term agreements with suppliers.
Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure quality and delivery standards are met; work with other departments to identify and qualify new suppliers.

Comprehensive understanding of purchasing and supply chain principles and best practices.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, shippers, and customers.
Expertise in negotiating high-value purchasing agreements and contracts.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of export control, ITAR, FAR, and DFAR regulations.
Experience in AS9100/ISO/Nadcap accredited environments.
In-depth knowledge of company products and materials.
Ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in a related field required; Master s degree preferred.
Proven experience in a procurement role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace and defense.
Experience supervising a team of buyers and supplier managers.
Certification from the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) or similar preferred.
Familiarity with government procurement practices.
Proficiency with ERP systems.
Must be a U.S. person.
