JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Risk Manager assist in planning, directing, monitoring operations and data management activities required to support efficient, safe and dependable transportation service to all METRO customers as well as assist in managing METRO's Drug & Alcohol program, acting as METRO's Alternate Drug & Alcohol Program Manager and ensuring compliance with METRO policies. This position has been designated as safety sensitive.

ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provides data management support with Drug and Alcohol program management.
  • Responsible for GFI and money room operations and prepares Section 15 Reporting adn documentation as required.
  • May be called upon to represent management in first stage grievance process and proceedings.
  • Managers accident/incident documentation. Retrieves and reviews videos from transit vehicles a for accidents/incidents involving vehicle operators and/or passengers.
  • Forward all pertinent information regarding accidents/incidents to insurance adjusters for payment to Rock Region METRO or other injured party.
  • Manages first step of passenger and operations complaint investigation and resolution.
  • Assists with other miscellaneous operations duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Two (2) years of college resulting in an Associate's degree or equivalent
    from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Additional directly related experience beyond the minimum requirement may substitute for the required education based on the ratio of one and a half (1.5) years of experience for each (1) year of education.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in public transportation, and one (1) year of supervisory experience.

  • *Must have a valid Arkansas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) B, with Passenger and Air Brake Endorsement , and a DOT Medical Examiner's Health Certificate.**
