Department: Marketing Marketing/NPD Claims Specialist supports new product development and launch for power core, core and legacy Prestige brands by leading prototype evaluation (using employee panels) and executing safety testing to create Product Safety Profiles and clinical claim support dossiers.

Prototype evaluation is used to support new formulation development by Product Development, changes made to formulas to maintain Regulatory Compliance and Supply Chain cost saving initiatives.

Marketing/NPD Claims Specialist executes all Safety Testing (HRIPT and SIU) under the direction of the Manager of Consumer Product Insights.

Marketing/NPD Claims Specialist will assist in Claims Brainstorming and Ideation across product categories.

Accountabilities

Panel testing is designed to be executed within a short time frame, is performed with a controlled set of panelists (employees and/or friends and family) and is cost efficient. The Marketing/NPD Claims Specialist will manage panel testing of new products, product reformulation or competitive research. This includes: proper panelist recruitment, panel facilitation, scientifically sound questionnaire development in Survey Monkey Software, data tabulation and reporting. The Marketing/NPD Claims Specialist will execute cosmetic safety testing (HRIPT and SIU) and OTC drug/device and dietary safety testing (HRIPT and SIU), as needed through third party clinical sites. Must adhere to strict panelist confidentiality agreements. Responsibilities

Independently executes product evaluation panels (Proper panelist recruitment, Informed Consent development using Good Clinical Practice, questionnaire development using Good Market Research Practice, execution of testing, data tabulation and reporting.) Budgetary responsibilities for panel testing. Responsible for tracking and submitting all invoices to Marketing for payment. Represent Claims Strategy Team during project team meetings. Present research findings to Project Teams. With oversight from Manager, executes Clinical Safety Testing (HRIPT and SIU) as well OTC/Device/Dietary Supplement as needed. This includes site selection, protocol development, cost proposals, site compliance, clinical supplies preparation, and final report dissemination. Assist in designing and implementing brainstorming and ideation sessions for individual brands/categories. Performs other tasks as delegated or assigned by supervisor. Health, Safety & Environmental

Ensures regulatory and corporate compliance. Leads by example. Operational Performance

Ensures department goals are aligned with business imperatives. Ensures performance goals are met. Establishes and ensures achievement of all unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). B.S in Science or related field 1-3 years' experience with product evaluation/development, formulation, sensory science or related consumer experience. Skills, Knowlege and Abilities

Critical thinking skills Microsoft Office software, Survey Monkey, Smartsheet Ability to graphically present and story tell data to Marketing and Product Development teams. Able to discern and differentiate fragrances and scented products Excellent interpersonal skills suitable for recruiting and relating with panelists. Conducts themselves in a professional manner, as the candidate interacts with panelist recruits throughout the company. Must be able to independently multi-task and establish priorities reliably. Ability to discuss sensitive topics with panelists in an appropriate manner Experienced in fundamental sensory science and market research preferred No Sponsorship:
