SUMMARY
The Clinical Specialist provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to orthopedic patients by assisting in direct patient care, performing treatments, administering medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructing patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider.

QUALIFICATIONS1. Must meet one of the following:
Level I - Certified Medical Assistant or 5 years' orthopedics medical assistant experience (goal to achieve medical assistant certification within 3 years of reaching Level I).
Level II - Certified Medical Assistant with 5 or more year's orthopedics experience or licensed LPN with less than 5 years' orthopedics experience.
Level III - currently licensed LPN with 5 or more years' orthopedics experience.

2. Previous physician office experience preferred.

3. BLS certification required.

4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.
