GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Driver and direct care person for individuals with disabilities

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Possess a valid Driver's License
  3. Forklift certified driver or willing to become an OSHA certified Forklift Driver
  4. Ability to read, write, and comprehend technical information and perform basic mathematical computations
  5. Complete mandatory in-service training (First Aid, CPR, Behavior Management, and others as assigned)
  6. Ability to pass a background check
  7. Ability to be carried by the company's insurance policy
RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires the picking up and transporting of clients from their homes to the work location in a company provided vehicle.
  1. Provide transportation per schedule from client residence to work site, and from the work site to the client residence unless otherwise notified.
  2. Drive Van or Bus to and from contracted clients for Watchdog
  3. Ensure client safety during transportation
  4. Drive Forklift for all necessary items at WATCH
  5. Completes inspection of forklift prior to use
  6. Ensures inspection has been completed on van or bus prior to the initial transport for the day
  7. Observe all traffic laws and abide by the RNS policy for incident reporting and vehicular maintenance
  8. Implements hands-on programs and activities deemed as priority goals per the interdisciplinary team
  9. Follows and implements behavior management as recommended of WATCH, Inc. policies and procedures
  10. Documents correct program training information, production rates, independent functioning rates, behavioral documentation charts, and progress notes
