POSITION SUMMARY The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization’s overall financial policies. This role manages the financial operations of the organization, ensuring the organization’s financial health and sustainability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

This position provides strategic direction and oversight of all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, credit, insurance, general ledger, tax and treasury. Lead for all analysis and reporting of financial information including budgets, planning, audits, monthly close items, and required filings and reports. Ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Executes high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals. Lead for finance with the executive team to establish the budget and develop growth initiatives that increase company funds while also reducing costs. Collaborate with the executive team to develop long-term financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals. Manages finance/accounting team to ensure day-to-day performance and objectives are met. Engage with department managers to communicate financial performance and address any concerns. Develops knowledge of all areas of finance and accounting to lead the organization in developing efficiencies and structure. Works with HR and payroll to ensure consistency and efficiency in payroll processing. Communicates on financial status including reporting to the CEO. Reports out as part of the executive team to the Board. Develops and grows a team through performance management and training.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Master’s degree preferred. Non-Profit accounting experience required. Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required. Quickbooks Desktop Experience required. Ten (10) or more years’ experience in accounting/finance required. Five (5) or more years’ managerial experience required. Exceptional working knowledge of MS Office required. Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred. Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
