YouWill: Prepare cost estimates, plans, technical specs and calculations for various and diverse structure types with an emphasis on bridges and other transportation-related structures. Inspect in-service bridges, retaining walls, and other structures and make repair recommendations if appropriate. Plan phase of design, including preparation of Bridge Condition Reports and Type, Size, and Location (TSL) Plans. Prepare detailed calculations for the design of new structures, as well as load rating calculations for existing structures. Collaborate with other engineers on larger projects,and manage the completion of individual design tasks on smaller projects. Review documents for compliance with the clients’ standards. Ensure that the client’s expectations are met YouHave: BS or MS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Illinois or an EIT working towards an IL PE License Structural Engineer (SE) License in Illinois (preferred) Three to eight years of civil engineering experience with emphasis on structures/bridges Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Revit, and MicroStation (experience with Illinois DOT and Tollway standards highly preferred) Structural design and analysis software experience Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively handle multiple projects Demonstrated ability to produce quality work within established timelines and budgets TERRA Provides:
