This career enhancing position will involve performing transportation structure design analysis, including plan preparation of structures throughout Louisiana, the greater U.S. Gulf Coast, as well as exposure to and contributing to project work throughout the Western U.S. This important role offers participation in a variety of challenging projects and a dynamic work environment due to the number, type, and size of bridges that make up the vast portfolio of the experienced bridge group this engineer will be joining. This position is a gateway to a rewarding career which will provide opportunities for professional and technical growth, as well as career advancement. Lead Structural Engineer on projects, including reviewing calculations, designs, and plans. Managing bridge projects, including design tasks and coordination ofwork with engineering staff. Business development oriented looking to help grow an established bridge group backed by national support and expertise. Providing specialized technical input on transportation-related projects. Conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of new bridges utilizing prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, structural steel, and timber components. Inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation design of existing bridges. Load rating evaluation of existing bridges. Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex structures. Experience in preparation of technical specifications and design documents, report writing, technical engineering support, and limited inspection during construction.
