Food manufacturer looking for a Quality manager to add to our team. This position is responsible for supervising, coaching and mentoring the QA staff and for providing direction through ongoing performance feedback.Responsibilities & Duties: Responsible for all regulatory inspections, internal, and external Quality audits. Supervise all aspects of product quality and food safety throughout company to meet FSMA and GFSI requirements such as HACCP, and yearly SQF certifications. Responsible for reviewing and analyze data gathered such as necessary allergen, ATP testing etc. Validate sound record keeping of production and QC data including daily production logs, batch log, raw material and finished product QC testing, and necessary external lab testing.
Stimulate and cultivate a "food safety culture" throughout the facility, and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 plus years college degree or equivalent relevant work experience required. Food safety certifications - SQF Practitioner Level 3, HACCP, and PCQI required. Ability to focus and prioritize duties in a rapid changing and high demanding environment. Must be detailed oriented and computer savvy, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Bilingual, English & Spanish (Speak, Write, and Read) preferred.Physical Requirements: Must be able to work variable hours, depending on business needs, including mornings, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to work in refrigerated rooms, in wet production environments, in noisy environments, and work in proximity to moving equipment.
