Local Truck Driver CDL A Flatbed Delivery
Decatur, AL

Direct-Hire / Hourly pay / Home Daily /No Overnights / Full Benefits

Compensation :
  • Hourly pay $25.00/hour, based on experience
  • Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
  • Typically work 45-50 hours per week
  • Bonus programs available
  • Weekly paychecks

Work Schedule
  • Position will not start until after January 1st
  • Monday-Friday
  • Start work early mornings depending on route (3:00am-7:00am), work until work is completed
  • Home every day, no overnights
  • Make local 1-2 stops per day, within 250 mile radius
  • Orientation/Safety Training in Spartanburg, NC; approximately 3 days, all expenses paid
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. Routing can change frequently throughout today
Responsibilities
  • Drive CDL A flatbed to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinations
  • Flatbed Conestoga trailer s, secure loads at each stop.
  • Document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Manage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT compliance
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle
  • Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 6 months flatbed delivery experience required
  • Experience Securing pallets and loose steel products using straps and chains
  • Must be able to lift, pull, push up to 70 pounds without assistance
  • Familiar with Smart Drive or other fleet safety technology
  • Current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug and criminal background screen
  • Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses
  • Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
  • Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical
