Job Description

Regions Hospital's kitchen is hiring for Cook position(s) that provide you a great work-life balance The Cook position will perform food preparation and cooking tasks in the kitchen and caf. This position prepares, cooks, supplies, and distributes food to various serving lines. This position also cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, and work areas. Performs other duties as assigned.

FTE: 0.5-1.0; 20-40 hours per week

Work Schedule: Various shifts; shifts scheduled between 530am-8pm; required to work every other weekend.

Required Qualifications:
  • Three years of professional cooking experience in a healthcare kitchen, restaurant or catering with high-volume, high-quality food production, short order cooking or institutional baking.
  • Culinary education will substitute for two years of professional experience.

Salary Range: $20-$26/hour

Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (0.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement. Benefits take effect first day of employment. We offer an on-site employee fitness center, an on-side physical therapy clinic for employees as well as on-site employee clinic to make it more convenient for our staff to get the care they need. We also have a Center for Employee Resilience that provides support and evidence-based practices to bring relief and build resiliency. Regions Hospital is a qualified non-profit employer under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. Regions is also a proud to be a Yellow Ribbon Company.
