Since 1985 Ramda Metal Specialties, Inc. has been a world class supplier of precision sheet metal assembly and fabrication, serving the Electronics, Telecommunications, Medical, Commercial, Defense, and Aerospace industries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Weld parts in various directions: flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead, etc.
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld parts as necessary to satisfy the technical requirements and create a welded final product
  • Review and identify any fault in operating the equipment or in relation to any material or equipment
  • Operate other accessory equipment and perform tasks necessary to complete the job including grinding, brazing, oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting.
  • Control the processes of fitting, burning and welding to avoid problems in relation to overheat, distortion, expansion or shrink of spare parts
  • Examine finished products and spare parts to ensure specifications are met
  • Prepare and set up necessary tools and equipment for welding job such as shielded metal arc, gas metal arc or other welding equipment.
  • Keep daily production log and identify welding process used according to WPS sheets.
  • Operate equipment safely and apply safety practices while performing required duties
  • Communicate findings that impact final product and overall job being worked on
  • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Must know how to read blueprint and weld symbols in order to weld to customer specs.
  • Must be able to pass welding tests and qualify to required AWS standards.
  • Understanding of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
  • Must have the ability to identify problems, collect data, confirm facts, and execute solutions for corresponding problems.
  • Must be able to certify to AWS D1.3, D17.1
  • Must have TIG Welding experience
  • Acute understanding of a variety of technical instructions in mathematics and diagrams.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
