**Purpose of Role:** Responsible for Carrier Selection, Planning, Coordination and Monitoring of export shipments while ensuring they move along seamlessly through the work process established by the company. Manage communication with warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, drayage companies, trucking companies and internal logistics department to ensure shipments are processed in a timely manner in compliance with US Customs regulations.

**Key Areas of Accountability:**

* Responsible for deciding the most cost effective Ocean, Trucking and Dray Carrier for the requested Export Shipment received from customer service.

* Responsible for selecting the most cost efficient carrier for bulk and packaged truck loads to Mexico. Coordinate the booking with the carrier and broker to efficiently cross the border.

* Manage capacity and commitments with Ocean and Land carriers, ensuring optimal resource utilization taking into consideration the fluctuating nature of the commodities market.

* Obtain Ocean Booking with Steamship lines, secure Trucking and Drayage with carriers within the time constraints of the customer.

* Coordinate and Monitor with Ocean Carriers, Freight forwarders, Trucking, Drayage companies and Warehouses on scheduling and tracking the status of shipments by closely monitoring key shipments milestones:

+ Booking Confirmation [Ocean Carriers]

+ Empty Container Pickup [Drayage Carriers]

+ Container loading process [Warehouses]

+ Loaded container gate in [Drayage Carriers]

+ Request late gates if needed [Ocean Carriers]

* File EEI (Electronic Export Information) with US Customs and Border Protection via ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) ensuring the information is accurate, timely and in compliance with US Export Regulations.

* Actively communicate with the Warehouses to obtain the Warehouse Bill of Lading in a timely manner.

* Review and approve Ocean Carrier, Warehouse and Drayage Company invoices for accuracy, when required, place claims and/or resolve discrepancies.

* Review Ocean Carrier and Drayage Company statements and ensure timely payment.

* Audit Ocean Carrier and Drayage Company invoices for proper billing.

* Act as a direct contact for internal stakeholders such as the Export Coordination and Export Documentation Teams, keeping them informed of potential delays.

* Enable business continuity by promoting cross training with other members of the team.

* Participate in backup and load balancing process among members of the Transportation Team during periods of high workload, vacation and time off.

* All other duties as assigned

* Fluent in Spanish a plus
