As a member of our professional sales team, you will both follow up on marketing inquiries as well as hunt for new business opportunities with the goal of setting appointments for our global salesforce. This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that likes to work hard, continually improve, and have fun while they are doing it Although this position involves both inbound and outbound sales, the ultimate goal of a Business Development Representative is to generate new sales opportunities for Sphera via outbound strategies. All reps will be ramped up with a progression of virtual training, meetings with peers and business partners, and live practice to begin their sales journey.ResponsibilitiesPrimary focus - proactively seek out new business opportunities through outbound calling to engage, consult, and set appointments for field Sales ExecutivesFocus on outbound campaigns and business development activities (calls, emails, social media) as well as promptly following up on inquiries coming from our marketing programsLeverage proven consultative sales methodologies to analyze the prospect's businesses to address their changing automation needsLeverage current technology to develop and manage a follow-up cadence to systematically nurture potential leads that aren't quite ready to buyParticipate in interactive training & educational sessions to stay abreast of changes in Sphera solutions, sales, and the industryConsistently achieve and/or exceed daily activity and sales targetsQualificationsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial Inside Sales environmentExperience working with clients/customers in a sales-oriented environment - Experience selling over the phone and cold calling a plusDynamic personality that comes across over the phone and ability to engage potential clients with your confidence and presentationYou are adaptable and can think on your feet. When faced with new challenges, or tough conversations, failure simply isn't an optionBachelor's degree in business, sales, or marketing; or equivalent work experience1+ year of sales experience, with a successful track record in solution-based selling environment highly preferredSoftware and/or software as a service (SaaS) product sales highly preferredBusiness to Business (B2B) sales experience highly preferredSelf-motivated, high energy individual that can thrive in a competitive but fun team environmentMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointExperience with SalesForce.com or other CRM tool(s) highly preferredSphera is an equal opportunity employer.
