Collections Activities
  • Independently prioritize and execute daily collection activities; contact customers for payment via telephone and email, document and maintain timely collection notes in HRC collection tool and establish appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain or improve departmental and organization key performance indicators including; Days Sales Outstanding, Past Due and Current Percentage, Average Days Delinquent and Collection Effectiveness Index.
  • Perform root cause analysis to resolve current and mitigate future invoice disputes, billing issues, and deductions.
  • Advises management of potential problems with customer's cash flow, works to minimize risk, resolve credit problems, and late payment issues
  • Work with internal and external parties on finding new ways to decrease the volume of billing issues that result in payment delays
  • Review and update training documents for department processes.
Credit Activities
  • Perform all related credit activities for assigned customers. This includes but is not limited to new customer approvals, credit limit adjustments, yearly reviews, basic financial statement analysis and interpretation, contract reviews, DNBi interpretation, and obtaining both bank and trade references.
  • Comfortable working with abstract information including political, economic and industry trends.
  • Ability to utilize multiple sources of information to arrive at a decision.
  • Clear understanding of corporate structure, legal entities and ownership.
  • Understanding of Network Credit Risks and Collections Tools
  • Preform Credit reviews annually and as prompted by collections reps to identify any changes in risk thus reducing Network's liability
  • Review Credit Applications for new accounts under existing customers and extend credits up to $15,000.00
  • Clearly communicate Credit Decisions to Members
  • Refer Credit Approval Recommendations to Senior for final approval and approval communication
  • Update and maintain system of records for all new accounts
  • Comfortable with independent decision making
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments to get the job done
  • Complete Trade References Request as necessary

COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND LEVEL OF SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills,
  • SAP, HRC, DnBi, Coface, Monday.com, Salesforce experience highly recommended
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • 1+ years experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Distribution experience a plus
