Our operation includes:Over 4,000 Full-Time Associates across the Supply Chain14.5M square feet of small parcel, personalization, furniture, and manufacturing space in the domestic US, Williams-Sonoma has developed an agile and capable distribution network consisting of the following:Large package / furniture distribution centers located in Southern California, Northern California, Texas, Georgia, and New Jersey totaling 9.2M square feet plus another 1.2M square feet of standalone final-mile furniture hubs.Small package eCommerce distribution centers located in Mississippi and Arizona totaling 3.2M square feet, consisting of over 1,000 full-time associates and 1,500 seasonal/temporary associates in MississippiSutter Street Manufacturing upholstery factories located in North Carolina and Mississippi totaling with over 1,400 full-time employees producing approximately $900 million to $1 billion in sales of upholstered furnitureTransportation Department for Ocean, Air, Trucking, and Rail consisting of over 30 transportation professionals located in Memphis, TN700 associates in our Sourcing offices in 10 countries in Asia and Europe including China, Vietnam, Singapore, India, Italy, and TurkeyThe Weekend Seasonal Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of Williams-Sonoma, Inc Associates with a focus on motivating associates to accomplish departmental goals. This individual is accountable for engaging their team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The person in this role will need to be able to show strong leadership and the desire to equip their team with the tools needed for success. The Operations Manager will ensure that daily departmental goals are met using a People First philosophy to achieve established objectives in Safety, Service, Quality, and Cost.The Seasonal Operations Manager - Weekend position is located in Litchfield Park, AZ.You'll be excited about this opportunity because you will....Lead and manage a team and demonstrate excellent communication, inclusiveness, and collaboration skillsProvide leadership, direction, training, and guidance to associatesManage the productivity, accuracy, and efficiency of the distribution staffMeet all required metrics and setting new standards as the operation progressesManage third party relationships with the delivery provider and all performance metrics of the operationDevelop plans and execute successfully to ensure KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) are met pertaining to safety, service, cost, and inventory integrityMaintain associate records including attendance and performanceMust have the ability to hold self and others accountable in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environmentCheck out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates....High School Diploma or equivalentAt least 3 years of distribution, manufacturing supervisory, leadership experience or 5 years supervisory experience from another industryFlexibility to work any shiftWe require these physical requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is required to stand, walk, talk and hearAssociate must be able to move, lift or carry heavy objects or materials up to 50-75 poundsWe prefer some of these qualities as well....Bachelor's DegreeExperience working with a warehouse management systemReview these physical requirements, as they play a major part in this role....Able to work at heights and unusual positionAble to safely operate all hand toolsAble to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basisAble to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet-jacks, and handcartsMust be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment - often while working in uncomfortable positionsDexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfacesEOEAt this time, we are not accepting referrals from third party recruiting agencies for this position.This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
