•Confers with management, supervisors and Team Members to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.

•Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of all shifts.

•Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as unloading, preloading, loading, etc.

•Conducts group and/or one-on-one training sessions, as needed.

•Evaluates trainees to measure progress and effectiveness of training.

•Completes training reports on trainees.

•Assists Team Members with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to forklift operation.

•Creates and updates training manuals and agendas.

•Confers with management to develop training materials.

•Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of all training programs.

•Makes suggestions on improving work procedures.

•Performs all essential functions of the Material Handler position.

•Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time. Ability to move across all shifts as needed. Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during all busy seasons.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

•Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred

•Experience: Five (5) years related experience

•Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology; basic computer skills.

•Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver's License; Forklift Certification
