ROLE OVERVIEW: The National Account Manager for Target is responsible for leading and directing profitable growth by fully leveraging all capabilities, assets, and functions within the organization and by building and maintaining strong retailer relationships to proactively pursue all business opportunities. This role is located preferable in the Minneapolis area. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage accounts business and financial performance by driving volume growth, share, revenue, and ROI improvements. Drive distribution, shelving, pricing and promotion strategy to optimize sales performance and trade spend efficiency. Account brand strategy development and implementation by identifying and capturing new and/or emerging opportunities at Target. Cross-functional, systematic review of account plans and performance.

Tailoring of company assets to meet/exceed account requirements and growth targets.

Monitor account/customer performance issues and highlight issues as they occur. Management of internal business processes to ensure forecast accuracy, ROI and revenue growth.

Development of individual account promotional plans and activities. Optimize overall account business performance via strategic decision-making, broaden and deepen account relationships, and leverage resources. REQUIREMENTS: 3 to 5 years required, 5-7 years preferred of CPG sales/account management experience, Target experience preferred. Strong knowledge of CPG industry and Target. Strong use of Nielsen/IRI - required. Demonstrated account leadership. Understanding/translation of sales data, competitive data, and MerchIQ/Vendor IQ

data into selling stories to drive successful customer interactions Strategic planning and business management, including proactive problem solving, sales forecasting, P&L analysis, and fixed cost budget development. Exceptional communication skills, with ability to present, sell-in ideas at the executive level. BS Degree in Business or related field. MBA preferred.
