Description

The Position

The Workday Platform Architect is a hands-on platform subject matter expert capable of spanning from high level architectural and design work to lower-level best practices implementation guidance and solving for complex issues where applicable.

The Workday Platform Architect should be certified on the platform with at least 5+ years of experience along with reasonable understanding of finance and HR domains and data in the context of Workday ecosystem.

Required Skills (Mandatory)

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through a technology degree and 15+ years of related experience in ERP system development, finance systems design & delivery with at least 5+ years of Workday experience in a senior technical architect role.

Very strong Workday Finance technical skills in a senior architect level role.

Workday Finance certification is mandatory.

Very strong communication skills and the ability to articulate architectural concerns to highly technical and functional stakeholders.

Experience with Snowflake is required.

Identify and help develop operational usage and health metrics ( Ex: report inventory, usage statistics).

Strong systems design and architectural experience around financial and ERP systems with solid understanding of data integrations.

Good understanding of database concepts including SQL skills.

A very good understanding of a modern enterprise technology ecosystem spanning SaaS, Cloud, and IT Operations.

Strong Workday report and dashboard development skills

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with multiple teams and developers to articulate architecture and design principles providing low level oversight for optimal implementation.

Review code for all integrations and other modules that have platform implications for compliance to best practices and guidelines.

Create and review architecture and design artifacts for accuracy.

Collaborate closely on data integrations and any required data architecture around Workday.

Work closely with 3rd Party SA on Test Framework development for optimal test case coverage and end to end automation of regression testing.

Establish and monitor platform performance metrics for all significant operations including report generation and integrations.

Evaluate new Workday features and make recommendations on applicability to the client and impacts to platform ecosystem on adoption of new features.

Recommend improvements for performance and operations of the platform based on platform knowledge and thorough technical analysis.

Key Skills: Excellent Comm. Skills and Articulation Skills, 15+ Years experience in Workday Financials (No HCM please), Workday Finance certification, Snowflake, 5+ Years experience as Workday Financials Architect

Education: Bachelors Degree
