- You will test the latest chassis control strategies in a hardware-in-the-loop and software-in-the-loop environment. The Core Vehicle Controls Software team is looking for an engineer to have the responsibility for validating chassis controls. You will join a team, with the opportunity to restrengthen existing robust verification methods, support test execution, and demonstrate results through data analysis and reporting. What you will be able to do
- Perform Software Validation testing, analysis, and reporting for production software on HIL and SIL
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot issues to determine root cause.
- Report issues using automated reporting systems such as JIRA.
- Store and retain documents and test records according to established Ford guidelines.
- Solid understanding of vehicle structure, subsystems, and components (Steering and Brakes)
- Understanding of Module Hardware/Software Architectures (ABS, PSCM, PCM, BCM, etc.)
- Skills Preferred:
- Familiar with Matlab/Simulink for SIL and HIL applications •Understanding of testing methodologies and ability to utilize test equipment (multi meter, scope, logic analyzer, etc.)
- 1+ years' experience in automotive embedded systems software •Experience with HIL test setup, modeling, and environment builds
- Experience Preferred:
- Experience with CAN networks and OBD systems and demonstrated ability to utilize related tools (CANalyzer, Diagnostic tools, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Education Preferred:
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or related field
