Overview:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing daily and monthly accounting functions of hospital and physician clinics. Responsible for general accounting activities, including the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements, such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements. Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance within generally accepted accounting principles. Calculate, review and process journal entries and balance sheet/account reconciliation in preparation for month-end and/or quarter-end processing. Reviewing daily cash activities. Evaluate and record transactions in the GL as necessary to ensure the financials are accurate and complete. Compile and analyze complex accounting information to provide management with accounting information necessary to make critical business decisions. Prepare daily/monthly reports for key indicators and statistics. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Interacts with management, operations, and clinic staff in a professional and courteous manner to gather necessary accounting information and respond to information requests.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree or better in Accounting
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Experience preparing Bank Statement Reconciliations. Experience with Accounts Payable. Minimum intermediate experience with MS Excel. Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
