COO (Chief Operating Officer) Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic leadership and oversight for our multi-unit restaurant group. As a dedicated team, we are looking for someone who wants to play a pivotal role in our major expansion and drive the overall success of our operations.

COO Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the organization, in collaboration with the executive team, to drive operational excellence, revenue growth, and profitability across all locations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Directors of Operations, overseeing their performance and ensuring the effective management of multiple restaurants. You will be responsible for setting performance objectives, monitoring progress, and providing mentorship and support to optimize their performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to establish operational policies, procedures, and standards that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives. You will ensure consistent implementation and enforcement of these policies and standards across all locations.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the organization. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve guest experiences, working closely with the Directors of Operations to implement these initiatives effectively.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize financial performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability, across all locations.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments and teams to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts. You will work closely with the executive team, including the CEO and other senior leaders, to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and ensure the organization remains competitive in the market. You will provide recommendations for strategic initiatives and investments that can enhance operations and drive growth.
COO Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the restaurant industry, with a focus on multi-unit operations. Proven success in overseeing and optimizing the performance of multiple locations is essential.
  • Strong business acumen and a track record of driving operational and financial results. Experience in developing and executing strategic plans, managing budgets, and achieving financial targets across a large-scale operation.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills. Proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team, including Directors of Operations, and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. You should have the capacity to analyze complex issues, make data-driven decisions, and develop innovative solutions to drive operational excellence.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. You should have the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships at all levels of the organization, as well as with external stakeholders.
  • A strong passion for the restaurant industry and a deep understanding of operational dynamics, industry trends, and customer expectations.
