Position Summary

TheUNM-Valencia Campus is seeking candidates for temporary, part-time faculty toteach Construction Trades courses. This will be a Spring 2025recruitment.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valenciacounty, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branchcampus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community collegein the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution. With anemphasis on teaching excellence, Valencia Campus offers academic transferprograms, technical vocational programs, Adult Education, and Dual Credit HighSchool/College courses to Valencia and Socorro. The faculty and staff serve a student body of over 2,000 studentsper semester. UNM has earned the platinum-level distinction fromFamilyFriendlyNM.org for its workplace policies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (or tested experience or credentialing) in Construction Trades or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of teaching experience.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
