Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

The role is a senior buyer position within the Indirect Procurement Department with a focus on IT/System Technology and Workplace Solutions fields reporting to Supervisor/Manager. The Procurement Buyer will be responsible for supporting and executing on professional procurement responsibilities (detailed below) for segments related Infrastructure Technology and People Teams. Examples include software agreements, labor contracts, physical and cybersecurity, and hardware purchases.

This role includes sourcing, negotiation, and working with internal customers and external vendors to reach mutually agreeable and cost efficient business agreements. Role requires the ability to successfully manage relationships both externally (with vendor, 3PL, etc.) and internally. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working with multiple suppliers while representing Samsung in the most honest manner. This role is more specific to project-based procurement that will facilitate contracts & agreements and at the same time working with end users to determine the best and most cost efficient solutions for the company.

Specific Job Duties:
•Primary responsibilities include sourcing, negotiate pricing/terms, facilitate procurement workflow, vendor selection/management, contract revisions/renewals, and regular reporting to management
•Manage and drive the contract management and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for procurement activities using Samsung systems.
•Work with internal customers to understand requirements, define scopes of work (SOW), and drive cost efficiencies.
•Analyze and interpret financial data, solve problems, and make procedural decisions and/or judgements.
•Assess value and product/service reliability relative to cost; plan, organize, and coordinate acquisition alternatives, as appropriate.
•Follow procurement rules & regulations and enforce procedures and activities that support Samsung processes.

Shift: 1st: M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:
•Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
•5+ years of related experience
•CPM/CPSM/CPIM certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:
•Self-motivated individual with high initiative, flexibility, customer service, and strong attention to detail
•Skilled in the negotiation and establishment of contractual arrangements for goods and services
•Knowledge of costing and pricing methodologies
•Proficient with MS Excel - Intermediate level or above
•Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal)
•Strong business acumen and sense of ownership
•Experience with IT / Data Center a plus
