POSITION SUMMARY

This position, under general supervision, is responsible for assisting in all aspects of supply and marketing of Products and Intermediates. The incumbents' primary responsibilities are to monitor production and sales to identify market actions, including supply, trading and pricing of products. Responsible for developing ongoing market analysis and forecasting forward markets. Additionally, this position will be responsible for the analysis and assisting negotiation for term contracts. The position will also assist CVR's products supply and trading to balance refinery production and marketing demands by working with scheduling and optimization. This incumbent works closely with the Middle Office and Products Accounting.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree is required preferably in the areas of Business, Accounting, Finance or Engineering.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 10+ years' industry experience, to include 5+ years of commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated competency of developing peer relations and participating as a team member required
  • Demonstrated competency of customer focus, priority setting, and organization agility required
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite programs required
  • Ability to summarize pertinent data and provide analysis to its meaning and content
  • Ability to take large volumes of data and condense into meaningful format for traders and marketers.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals, both internal and externally required
  • Ability to act as primary liaison within Marketing and Feedstocks as well as with internal cross functional groups
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments within deadline constraints required
  • Fluent in English, oral and written required.
  • Ability to adjust schedule to meet business needs.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Develops and maintains Trade Position Report
  • Develops Commercial P&L modeling and variance reporting
  • Review and input all transactions, transportation and terminal agreements for accuracy, completion and compliance with company standards
  • Prepare and analyze forecasts, pipeline expansions, refinery maintenance timetable, supply/demand reports and any other reports needed by Supply and Marketing.
  • Acts as primary and/or back up for product supply and trading
  • Works with Accounting to identify any discrepancies between Commercial and Accounting P&L methodology
  • Right Angle deal entry as needed.
  • Research and prepare reports and or Power Point presentations for ad hoc analysis in areas of business development and market analysis including pipeline transportation optimization, and areas for strategic geographic focus
  • Analysis and research of pipeline tariffs and product flows for best transportation netback
  • Maintains Marketing Team pricing and volume reports
  • Research and analysis on developing projects that are impactful to the business
  • Modeling and analysis of potential asset acquisitions
  • Provides input for forecasting of annual budgets
  • Regularly communicate with supervisor work progress, concerns and questions
