The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. NIVES provides specialized care in Small Animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. We serve the clients of NE Indiana, SE Michigan & SW Ohio.We are looking for a full-time Veterinary Client Relations Specialist to join our teamOur Veterinary Client Relations Specialists provide the client with their first impression of our practice, where their family and pets will be assisted by a friendly, smiling, compassionate staff member. We realize the importance of this first impression and are looking for someone who can show our clients compassion, attention, and the highest level of client service.Anticipated Schedule:Full time, 36-40 hours per week 3rd shift availableSchedule includes one weekend per month Compensation:$17-19 hour dependent on experience 2nd shift differential in the amount of $1.00 per hour between the hours of 7PM and midnightWeekend differential in the amount of $1.50/hour on Saturday and Sunday from 7am-midnightWhat you will do in this role: Build relationships by greeting clients and patients upon entry and exit of our facility.Answer multi-line phone system and assist with scheduling.Assist clients at check in and check out. Triage incoming cases.Facilitate client transactions and explain financial options. Additional responsibilities as needed or assigned.Skills and Qualifications:Friendly, detail oriented with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.Proficiency in Word and basic computer skills needed.Can work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations with sensitivity and tact. High School diploma or GED.Previous customer service experience required; veterinary experience ideal.We have an extensive training period.
