Position Summary

As a Manager Trainee, you will work closely with Department Management to learn about each department's functions and how they interact to assist in the Distribution Center's success. This 3 month training program will prepare you to focus on and specialize in one department to refine your leadership and coaching skills to assist others in succeeding as well as. The Manager Trainee position is a training opportunity for you to become an Assistant Department Manager and eventually a Department Manager.

Stores depend on the Distribution Centers in order to receive a large majority of their product to make sales. We currently operate 11 Distribution Centers: Eau Claire, WI - Plano, IL - Shelby IA - Holiday City, OH - Terre Haute, IN - Iron Ridge, WI - Valley, NE - Bismark, ND - Sullivan, MO - Saginaw, MI - Lawrence, KS. Primary Responsibilities
  • ? Manage and lead team members in your area
  • ? Ensure that all product is received and shipped in the most efficient way
  • ? Keep all work areas in good repair, orderly, clean, and safe
  • ? Use resources and equipment efficiently and to capacity to fill orders
  • ? Ensure all safety policies are followed by Team Members and all training is up to date
  • ? Keep all safety training and maintenance well documented
  • ? Maintain an open communication with all Team Members regarding safety issues
  • ? Work with supervisors and managers in your area to accomplish goals
  • ? Come up with innovative ideas to improve current processes

Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field such as Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent management experience
  • Availability and willingness to relocate to one of our other sites for promotions
  • Articulate - clear, accurate, and effective in writing and verbal communication
  • Interpersonal skills - ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Effective analytical skills - successful at developing and implementing actions plans
