The Human Resources Coordinator works closely with employees, managers, and the Human Resources team. They provide support to managers within the plant and may provide cross organization support. HR Coordinators participate in facility-wide initiatives and programs while meeting the needs of the business. They will ensure payroll is processed accurately and will work with other HR team members to find solutions to business problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Support implementation of initiatives to address workplace environment, employee engagement or retention issues.
  • Assist department managers and human resources generalist in planning and performing department engagement activities, such as celebration activities, recognition, etc.
  • Coordinate the On Boarding Partner Program, ensuring new employees are matched with a strong, positive company advocate who possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, and is committed to the Company's values with the ultimate goal to improve engagement and retention of new employees.
  • Review and code department staffing invoices in Datamatics.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the director of HR.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
  • Prepares new-employee files.
  • Monitor attendance/reports patterns to ensure issues are addressed by the manager in a timely, consistent manner. Assist the manager in driving accountability among the workforce.
  • Support department specific on-boarding and new employee orientation.
  • Collect data and pull reports from HR tools, may key in/maintain data in system.
  • Support internal communications related to training and development and provide routine trainings on various topics.
  • Serves as a backup with payroll duties.
  • Stays current with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; supporting the human resources department on needed actions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum HS Degree and equivalent years of experience; SHRM-CP/HRCI PHR or Bachelor's
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Exhibits a safety-first attitude in all that is done, from proper personal protection equipment compliance to keeping the work environment safe and hazard-free. Compliance with all workplace and safety standards required.
  • 1+ years experience working with HRIS, Payroll and Timekeeping Systems; reporting, tracking and management. Ceridian/Dayforce experience is a high preference.
  • 1+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred; high volume and changing environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a Human Resources Department with significant interaction with employees and managers preferred.
  • Capable of working in a team environment and alone with a high sense of urgency.
  • Possess skills to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
