The position for a School Nurse is available at East Central ISD for the 2024-2025 School Year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. The deadline for submitting an application is 4:00 pm., May 16, 2024, or until the position is filled.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Implement a comprehensive program of health services for the campus. Provide health services to students. Promote health education and preventive health practices for students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification/Special Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
Valid registered nurse license to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
Certified by the Texas Department of Health to conduct vision and hearing screening
CPR Certification and AED certificates
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Two years of nursing experience, preferably in community health
Knowledge of health appraisal to identify student health defects
Ability to implement policies and procedures
