Our client is a leading international manufacturer of process equipment and instrumentation used in the food, pharma, and various other industries. The company maintains a very well-established sales and service network in more than 30 countries and operates production facilities across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.

To support the company’s growth in North America, we are recruiting a strategic and hands-on Regional Sales Manager to drive the sales, business development and key account activities in the Western US, with a primary focus on the food and pharmaceuticals markets.

As a significant member of the US organization, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to sell all product lines in the assigned region and consequently further the brand and market penetration of the company in the region.

Key responsibilities:

Develop and implement goals and roadmap for Food & Pharma applications within territory.

Identify and call on potential customers and deliver sales presentations.

Participate in contract negotiations with key customers.

Conduct periodic market research to remain current on industry, customer base, competition, materials, and equipment.

Build, strengthen and maintain new and existing relationships with key clients and partners. Provide outstanding customer support.

Quote, track, and close sales opportunities, and prepare periodic sales reports.

Provide training to staff and participate in product research and development activities.

Represent the company at trade association meetings to promote product.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Key qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in sales, business development, and/or key account management.

Strong background selling industrial machinery for food and/or pharmaceutical applications is highly preferred.

Prior experience working with nut processors is a plus.

An existing network of industry contacts would be a strong advantage.

Must be able to travel up to 50% including occasional international trips.

Location:

Flexible in Western part of US
