A Brief Overview


The Inventory Transaction Analyst is responsible for applying principals, theories, concepts, and practices to a wide variety of complex inventory transaction issues, critical to the stability of our Supply Chain and accuracy of Financial Reporting. This role ensures that adequate data quality is maintained, and data governance and policy is properly supported. Individuals at this level are considered fully competent to independently own work assignments and assist other departments with analysis required for any inventory issues that arise.

What you will do

  • Identify and oversee any Oracle inventory transaction data quality issues, maintain issue repository, and manage resolution. Monitors, analyzes and corrects highly complex transactions suspended in Oracle utilizing Access and Excel to aid in analysis. Thereafter, identify, design, and implement process improvement initiatives related to data governance.

  • Measure, improve, and certify the quality and integrity of material data. Ensure that the data supports the needs of the business, as responsible for accuracy of inventory account balances and for preparation of numerous reports including reports to research and analyze system driven inventory issues such as book vs stock, intransit, held inventory. Performing these audits to make sure DG (Data Governance) process and policies are followed diligently and identify data related process improvement opportunities, adhering to compliance and regulations.

  • Ensure adherence to data management standards and acting as the key point of contact for those creating and consuming data, by researching and answering inventory related questions, providing assistance with Cognos/Business Intelligence, inventory transactions, including local systems and Oracle, assisting with systems issues and questions, and researching and resolving P&L issues related to transactions. Working with business partners to address material-related process issues and opportunities.

  • Consults and is consulted by Technology and Supply Chain for inventory issues. Participates in data definition, data modifications, and process testing in support of business and IT projects. Work closely with data owner(s) to make sure data is protected, secure and used for authorized purposes only

  • Assists in training internal and external associates on transaction resolution and monitoring

  • Assist with defining and upholding data governance policies and procedures to ensure standardized data processes and consistent data definitions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Finance or IT degree or equivalent Required

  • 1-3 years accounting and/or reconciliation experience required

  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel and Access required

  • Oracle experience required

  • Familiarity with WMS or inventory point of sales system desired

  • Proven attention to detail and analytical abilities

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Tableau, Business Objects

  • Ability to provide inventory accounting and inventory system subject matter expertise

  • Must be available to work full days on Saturdays as required
