Projects are very diverse in nature, ranging from military and industrial to marketing focused designs. The Electrical Engineer supports the Estimating department assisting with quotes on future projects. Assists Electricians to ensure the proper execution of projects on the manufacturing floor.Primary Responsibilities:Lead electrical designs, schematics, and material specifications for several projects simultaneously. Participate in enhancing shop electrical procedures concerning tools, training, and materials. Assist shop electrical employees in planning and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Establish standardized electrical designs and practices.Mentor coworkers on electrical principals and safety standards. Support the Estimating department in project quotation. Consistently keep the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system up to date with the latest quotes, delivery dates, and Purchase Orders (PO's).Convert Quote into Purchase Requisition and update any pertinent notes or production instructions.Maintain continuous communication with the Project Manager and Production team to proactively address existing and/or potential project issues. Schedule all electrical installations both on and off site.Required Skills:Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 + years' experience in electrical system design. Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.Ability to think critically and creatively, while working independently and cooperatively. Ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities.Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills both internally and externally.Team focused communication style.Ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers.Strong initiative to address and solve problems.Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic and fast paced environment.Strong attention to detail.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
