Transportation Engineer / Roadway Engineer (EIT or PE) - Transportation Services Team
BGE Inc is looking for a Transportation Engineer / Roadway Engineer (EIT or PE) within the Transportation Services Department based in Central Texas Regionto work in our San Antonio office (San Pedro Ave).
Responsibilities:
- Performs engineering associated with highway / roadway planning and design including horizontal and vertical geometry, OpenRoads 3D modeling, retaining wall layouts, quantity calculations, miscellaneous details, and final plan deliverables.
- Interprets and applies applicable codes and exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
- Plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates engineering work involving conventional practices but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Open to range of experience from those who recently Passed FE exam (registered EIT) up to recently passed PE exam (Registered PE) in Texas
- TxDOT Experience
- Knowledge of PS&E Processes
- 1-5 years of professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D Modeling software
