Rate: $16.75 per hour

Foothills is seeking a Batting Cage Technician. This position is responsible for all maintenance and preventative maintenance required on the District's batting cage equipment at Schaefer Athletic Complex. The job will require shifts ranging from morning to evening hours and weekends. This position is part-time, nonexempt, and offers excellent recreation benefits.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for monitoring and maintain the batting cages operation system.
- Perform normal day-to-day and preventative maintenance; inspect batting cage machines and equipment.
- Adjust machines as needed to ensure proper usage and safety standards.
- Verify and complete work orders requests.
- Correct or inform supervisor of any hazards.
- Accurately completes repair orders, time sheets, purchase orders, and other required reports.
- Takes proper safety precautions for self and patrons while performing job duties by anticipating unsafe circumstances or equipment, and acting accordingly to prevent accidents.
- May direct the work of batting cage attendants by instructing them in proper equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.
- Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
- Communicate issues/complaints to supervisor as needed.
- Must be 18+.
- Mechanical experience required.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, materials and equipment involved with small electric motors, belts and pulleys.
