Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responds to customer inquiries or other areas of the bank relative to questions, concerns or problems, while ensuring that customers are properly serviced and issues are resolved promptly. Researches or verifies customer accounts to facilitate the resolution of issues; corrects errors.
  • Inputs and processes commercial loans into core system and reviews loan setup reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs necessary maintenance on existing loans.
  • Maintains accurate records and accounting on all incoming collateral
  • Assists commercial customers with transactions including wires, deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Processes all participation loan advances and payments.
  • Performs necessary maintenance for loan modifications.
  • Files/terminates UCC liens and monitors UCC liens for renewals as appropriate.
  • Prepares SBA 1502 report.
  • Utilizes tax service to pay real estate taxes and monitor delinquent taxes including follow up with tax collectors.
  • Utilizes hazard tracking software to upload insurance documents and order force place insurance as necessary. Reviews reports for cancellations and evidence of coverage.
  • Monitors flood insurance for applicable loans on monthly basis.
  • Prepares payoff quotes for commercial loans for customers and attorneys. Processes all paid loans and release of collateral with Lender approval.
  • Reviews annual escrow analysis and assists customers with questions and explanations.
  • Monitors and manually processes all rejected items relative to online banking transactions.
  • Updates rate index values in accordance with source material on a daily basis.
  • Assists Financial Wellness department with any delinquent loans, as necessary.
  • Reviews system generated reports including: Paid Loans, Loan Maintenance, FASB Report, and Transaction Exception reports.
  • Performs post closing QC reviews of new commercial loans.
  • Consistently provides superior professional service to internal and external customers.
  • 20. It should be expected that, from time to time, other duties, both related and unrelated to the above, may be assigned and therefore required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent. College degree is desirable.
  • 3-5 years experience in banking or financial industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of commercial loan documentation preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level of customer service with a pro-active approach to problem solving.
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with personal computer applications such as Word and Excel
  • Good analytical skills and high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize tasks throughout the day to ensure deadlines are met, often working independently.
  • Knowledge of COCC Insight core system, is preferred.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing environment, both regulatory and culturally.

INDEPENDENT ACTION

Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Manager where clarification or exception to Bank policy may be required.
