Responsibilities:

+ Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes and systems to meet production goals and quality standards.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.

+ Analyze and troubleshoot production problems to optimize processes and reduce waste.

+ Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including procedures, diagrams, and reports.

+ Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of defects.

+ Identify and implement cost savings opportunities through process improvements.

+ Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery of materials.

+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.

+ Maintain accurate records of manufacturing data, including production schedules, inventory levels, and quality metrics.

+ Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a similar role.

+ Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, testing, and inspection.

+ Proficient in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and/or PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.

+ Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, such as SAP or Oracle.

+ Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make recommendations for process improvements.

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field.

+ Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.

+ Knowledge of robotics and automation systems.

+ Certification in a relevant field (e.g. Six Sigma Black Belt).

Work Environment:

+ The Manufacturing Engineer will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to machinery and equipment.

+ The position requires regular walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 pounds).

+ The ability to work in a clean room environment with minimal noise is required.
