Mid Coast Hospital ACU is seeking a full time Endoscopy Tech to join the digestive health team

  • Position Summary This position consists of 40 hours per week.
    • The Endoscopy Technician under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in assisting the physician in the endoscopic examination and treatment of patients. He/she is expected to adhere to SGNA standards and demonstrates knowledge of equipment, instruments, and procedures pertinent to the Endoscopy Unit. The Gastroenterology Technician must have a sense of responsibility and a willingness to meet the required time assignments and work load.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: N/A
    • License/Certifications: BLS certification, CNA Certification, State of Maine
    • Experience: N/A
    • Competent organizational/interpersonal skills.
    • Competent clinical/technical skills.
    • Gastroenterology Technicians are strongly encouraged to complete the GI Associates Skill Validation test and achieve the title GI Technical Specialist.
