The role has growth potential and is expected to expand to include people leadership responsibilities as the R&D program evolves.This individual will lead the strategic direction of Quality Assurance for Filtration (core category), and other key application parts categories. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineer background and an excellent strategic business and customer skill set, solid project management skills, new product development/innovation, and improvement processes. Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but not limited to, the following:

Develop long-term quality strategy for related product programs and a plan for in-house vs 3 rd party product testing. Continuous research and documentation of changes to Original Equipment Parts to ensure consistent quality to the product assortments. Give recommendations to internal customers, i.e., VP International Sourcing Own the process to manage an inventory of all related product sample items for quality and claim usage. (Includes original sample, drawings, packaging including case packaging). Design and implement a robust claims process. This process will begin with field communication, vendor 3 rd party coordination, followed up with a resolution evaluation. The system will need to provide written results back to the customer and any other stakeholders. Collaborate closely with various internal cross-functional teams, including International Sourcing, Category Management, Internal Logistics Teams, Product Information, Vendors, Sales Teams, and Customer Service Teams, setting daily priorities surrounding quality assurance and claims processes related to our filtration segment of the business. Finding new or collaborating with existing vendors and external independent testing facilities to expedite the claims process for each individual customer request. Improve current quality process and procedures that result in rapid external (customer facing) and internal resolution. Coordinate all claim and quality communication to internal and external stakeholders. Includes Fitment, packaging and receiving quality items from the field and DC teams. Review testing and quality records and procedures. Recommend measures to improve testing procedures. Establish or adjust testing procedures to meet testing requirements. Develop, revise and control standard operating procedures, including test specifications, for filter testing and claims processing. Compile metrics related to filter quality, monitor trends, and recommend and implement corrective actions. Effectively report metric data. Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in one of the engineering disciplines or equivalent experience in filters. (Mechanical or Chemical) Preferred Qualifications:

Strong Understanding of the Automotive Aftermarket parts (application specific). Experience with Automotive Quality management and claims process. Familiar with automotive filtration and global sourcing. Familiar with OE parts and how parts get offered/introduced in the automotive aftermarket. Deep understanding of Automotive Shops, Automotive Retail Stores and Automotive Warehouse channels. 2+ years of experience in Quality/Claims Management, Category and Product Management
