In this role, the Manager Project Engineering will build and lead a growing team of project engineers to ensure successful delivery of SCADA projects and work on a variety of projects to implement and improve OSI control systems. Working from OSI’s Montreal, Quebec location as well as from company and customer sites across North America as required on occasion, the Manager Project Engineering will maintain relationships directly with our customers in the utility industry and work to maintain project delivery excellence and a top-notch level of customer satisfaction.

Your Impact

Develop a strong, motivated project engineering team engaged in meeting the common goals of delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Lead the team to deliver control systems for customers in the utility industry. Act as a technical subject matter expert and escalation point for the team in the delivery of customer projects. Work closely with global colleagues on shared projects and initiatives. Ensure the successful recruitment and effective onboarding of the team in line with growth plans. Ensure continuous innovation and improvement to OSI methodologies and practices. Develop and support a strong customer focus within the team and maintain effective customer relationships in support of delivery excellence. Create an inclusive and supportive environment within the team and actively support team members in achieving personal development and growth. Ensure all project activity is adequately resourced, including securing additional resources when necessary – staff from other OSI engineering centers, temporary staff, permanent staff, etc. Manage local Engineering Group to achieve the target utilization and effectiveness & efficiency KPIs. Design, plan, integrate, and commission hardware, software, and networking requirements on customer systems. Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements through customer communication and communicate the requirements to other departments as necessary. Ensure alignment with, and improvement of the ISO9001 and ISO27001 certified management system that drives delivery success of OSI’s customer projects. What You'll Need

Energy-related Engineering degree at a Bachelors or Masters level. Electrical and/or Power Systems Engineering qualifications are preferred. Strong technical background in automation and computers with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Proven experience leading engineering services and/or project delivery functions, with a track record of developing strong professional teams. Must have a working knowledge of SCADA and/or related operational technologies. Experience in one or more of the following: power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX / Linux / Windows operating systems, C / C++ programming. Ability to travel to customer sites across North America, and on occasion to other customer and company sites globally. Superior organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability. Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrable experience in the effective building, management, and leadership of Engineering teams. A strong commitment to customer service, safety, and teamwork. Experience with OSI’s monarch control system is a plus. #LI-RT1
