Job Description AECOM is seeking a self-starter and experienced Business Development Leader to drive growth for our Pacific Northwest Transportation business based in our Seattle, WA office. This external facing leader will represent AECOM in the marketplace and oversee business development, sales, and strategy. The right candidate will need to be a growth-minded leader who can work collaboratively with other senior leadership and mentor staff in a fast-paced setting to support business development, marketing and communications, capture management, and strategy. The ideal person must be able to verbally and visually communicate their ideas clearly and convincingly to peers and senior leadership. The responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to: Help build a strong and thriving culture in AECOM Pacific Northwest Transportation (focused in Seattle) that promotes equity, diversity, & inclusion, sustainability, and innovation; while preserving technical excellence in our core competencies. Provide leadership in recruiting and retaining top talent to the Pacific Northwest. In collaboration with senior leadership, develop and own the long-term vision for sustained growth of AECOM’s transportation business in the Pacific Northwest. Ensures unflinching customer focus. The successful candidate will demonstrate deep customer insight, ensure a client-driven culture, spearhead and support market-focused solutions. Collaborate with the senior leadership team in the US West Transportation on driving strategic growth initiatives throughout the region. Work with the US West Transportation growth team in developing annual strategic plan to set targets and goals for the fiscal year, and own the Wins and Bookings KPIs. Influences and supports the Regional Division and Growth Leads to achieve their sales and bookings performance targets. Oversee the capture process for key pursuits in the Pacific Northwest to ensure best practices are being adhered to, and continuously improve capture results. Lead the client account management program for key clients in the Pacific Northwest to ensure active management by Client Account Managers. Collaborate with local divisional leadership across all markets and local team to organize civic engagement activities and support AECOM’s visibility and market presence. Work with local division leadership to maintain Salesforce data integrity. Work with local division leadership to grow Salesforce pipeline. Manage Pacific Northwest conference and meeting sponsorships and collaborate with local division leadership across all markets for attendance. Be responsible for holding regular Pacific Northwest business development meetings with all relevant stakeholders and ensuring frequent and regular communication, tracking, and reporting of progress against strategic priorities and key performance indicators. Potential to be project manager or Principal in Charge on key projects in the Pacific Northwest market. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree and 10+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in planning, engineering, or a related field 15+ years of related experience Strong understanding of best practices in business development and capture process for professional services Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision Ability to communicate problems clearly and simply to clients, leadership, and technical staff Ability to balance various project and company responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality.
