CTI is hiring Class A CDL HAZMAT Acid Drivers We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Hazmat Truck Driver to join our team at FMI Morenci In-pit Mine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting hazardous materials, specifically acid, while adhering to strict safety protocols, MSHA, and FMCSA regulations. Worksite Location: FMI Morenci In-pit Mine, Arizona Pay: $30 - $35/hour (DOE) $5.00/hr differential for 2nd shift Bonuses & Benefits $6000 Sign-On Bonus ($500 monthly for 12 months) $500 Quarterly Safety Bonus Health Benefits start on Day of Hire (DOH) Shift Details: Schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off Duration: 12 hours (10 hours working 2 hours travel from FMI to Safford terminal) Shifts: Hiring for day & night shifts, whether hired for the day or night shift, that will be your standard shift. First Shift: 0500 - 1700 Second Shift: 1700 - 0500 Equipment: Dedicated equipment to Morenci operations, slip-seating is expected CDL Truck Driver Job Requirements: Valid Class A CDL TANK & HAZMAT endorsements required Authorized access to Freeport McMoRan Inc. (FMI) Minimum 23 Years of age 1-year experience operating a combination vehicle, preferably with experience hauling acid or similar hazardous materials. Less experience will be considered on an individual basis and may require an extended training period with starting pay at $25 per hour, negotiable based on amount of experience. Valid DOT Physical Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years. HAZMAT Drivers are required to wear a respirator for certain tasks, which also requires that you are clean-shaven daily. Ability to pass a satisfactory road test Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and hazmat transportation procedures. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) requirements: PPE is required and must be worn in accordance with company policy and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for each work site. PPE is typically issued by our safety department and may include but is not limited to: Hard hat with face shield Goggles/Spoggles Gloves Long sleeve shirt Reflective vest Hearing protection Respirator Mask (varies according to the work site) Steel toe boots (not supplied by CTI) Acid operations are outside in the elements and require a chemical-resistant acid suit, rubber gloves, rubber boots, a full face respirator, and any other required PPE to be worn at all times while in a "Hot Zone". Respirators: CTI employees are required to wear a full and/or half-mask respirator for any job task that requires a respirator. Respirators (PPE) are distributed by CTI and are used to protect employees from those occupational hazards caused by breathing contaminated air (harmful dust, fogs, fumes, mists, gases, smokes, sprays, or vapors). All CTI employees who are required to wear a respirator must be clean-shaven daily and in compliance with respirator protocols at all times. CDL Driver Job description is available upon request.
