Summary

A Service Management Operations Director is a role responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of operations within an organization. They focus on ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of services, managing operational processes, and driving continuous improvement in areas they oversee.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Service Operations Management: The Service Management Operations Lead is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of service delivery. They ensure that services are delivered according to agreed-upon service levels, monitor operational performance metrics, and address any operational issues or bottlenecks that may arise. Team Leadership and Collaboration: The Operations Lead may lead a team of service management professionals or work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams. They provide leadership, mentorship, and support to team members, foster a positive work environment, and promote effective collaboration to achieve operational objectives. Set strategic goals for the Service Management tower, in partnership with leadership. Analyze current operational processes and performance, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary. Budget and Finance: Evaluate and monitor the operational budget and chargeback strategy to align with organizational goals. Vendor and Supplier Management: The Operations Lead manages vendor relationships initiatives and team focus. They ensure that vendors meet their obligations, deliver services as agreed, and address any operational or contractual issues that may arise. Service Monitoring and Reporting: The Operations Lead establishes and maintains monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track service performance, compliance with service levels, and operational metrics. They analyze the data collected, identify trends, and generate reports to provide insights and support decision-making related to service management and operations.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree

Required Experience

Seven (7) or more years in Operations in the Shared Business industry in progressive roles to include prior leadership positions.

Preferred Experience

Specific experience in overseeing operational budgets, vendor management, organizational design in large organizations.

Preferred Experience / Registration / Certification

Six Sigma

Computer Skills Required

Google Suite preferred; willingness to learn Oracle and leverage the training, reporting, and process components to excel at the role.
