The position is responsible for providing advanced Fanuc robot, controls and software services to our customers and internal stakeholders. This position will provide technical support for customers and technicians. The following are key areas of focus:Deliver service and PMs to end users as requiredProvide remote technical support to customers as neededProvide support to operations & engineering on projectsProvide in-depth programming expertise to customersIt is expected that the incumbent will be a strong team player and will work collaboratively with all customers and employees.This role has responsibility for supporting efficient and timely resolutions of Fanuc robot automation support requests with existing customers.This position will work closely with Engineering, the Regional Managers and Service Administration Coordinators to resolve customer issues ensuring a superb customer experience.This position will be responsible for supporting the quality and expeditious development of junior robot technicians.This position will work closely with the Lifecycle Services management, ensuring clear communication on customer issues, spare parts opportunities with new and existing customers to establish on site inventories to reduce down time with customer equipment will be pursued.MAJOR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Programming of Fanuc robotics and Rockwell Platforms to either optimize or fix manufacturing needs.Programming of visions systems including and not limited to, Fanuc IR (3DV, 3DAS, 2D), Keyance Binpicker solutions, Cognex spreadsheet.Programming of Fanuc robotics and Rockwell Platforms for new systems.Providing on-site programming support for manufacturing jobsites, No more than 2 weeks at a time.Provide engineering support for projects as required.Provide detailed reports to your management on day to day activities.Monitor/manage Fanuc robot automation tech support requests ensuring swift resolutionProvide troubleshooting and repairs to Fanuc robots and other equipment as requiredProvide in depth details of Robotic repair quotes to the Service Administration teamSupport our customers on complex robotics and controls technical issuesServe on a rotation for on-call servicesRequires extensive (75%+) travel (domestic) for field service work, preventative maintenance visits, equipment installation, troubleshooting, On-site programming and providing trainingWork in collaboration with Regional Managers and Service Administration to support customer needsProvide advanced robotics technical advising to customers when requiredWork closely with Service Coordinators to ensure all local technicians scheduled and utilized at 88% or betterMINOR JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor/manage Fanuc robot automation tech support requests ensuring swift resolutionProvide PM service on Fanuc robots in complianceProvide PM service on Fanuc robots in compliance with OEM standardsProvide in-house Fanuc robot repairs at one of our facilities when requiredPerform complex robotics service repairs and routine maintenance at customer sitesSupport material handling service as required by the territory.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Two-year college technical degree in Automation Maintenance or Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.A minimum of five years' experience in automation support environment preferably on Fanuc robots.An in-depth understanding of Fanuc Robot "TP" or Rockwell Studio 5000 platform.Understanding of basic Microsoft Excel and word capabilitiesSKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB: Computer proficiency includes word processing, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.Strong knowledge of field service principles and practices, customer requirements and technician requirements.Knowledge and understanding of preventive maintenance programs, OSHA regulations, customer protocols and repair processes and procedures across automation product lines.Analytical, critical thinking, negotiating, managerial, organizational, decision-making, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of industry field service and installation processes and requirements.Ability to read plans, specifications, and schematics.Demonstrates organizational and project management skills, including ability to set and manage multiple priorities, and to set and meet deadlines.Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with diverse internal and external groups.SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THE JOB, cont. Detail oriented demonstrating an ability to capture all the key information daily to develop and maintain strong training programs.Knowledge in Basic Equipment and Machinery. This position regularly uses a computer, printer, copier, telephone, scanner, and a calculator.Knowledge in various Computer Software like Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, company ERP systems, and AutoCAD.In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the wage range for this role is $30-$45 an hour.
