NWFA Executive Director Job Posting The Northwest Fisheries Association (NWFA) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Executive Director to lead the organization and manage the NWFA Scholarship Fund. This leadership role involves close collaboration with the Board of Trustees and NWFA officers to oversee all organizational affairs. Key Responsibilities: The Executive Director will: Lead and manage all NWFA activities and initiatives. Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events. Manage the administration and financial operations, including bookkeeping. Collaborate closely with the Board of Trustees, fostering effective communication and strategic direction. Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a candidate with exceptional communication skills who can work independently while seamlessly collaborating with the Board of Trustees. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in event planning, management, and administrative functions. Compensation: This is a full-time position with a salary range of $70-80K. Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in event planning and management, including venue selection, logistics, audio-visual requirements, budgeting, and on-site coordination. Proven ability to work effectively with and manage a Board of Trustees. Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound decisions and improve organizational systems. Capable of working independently, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High levels of integrity, honesty, flexibility, and a positive, mission-driven attitude. Availability to work evenings as needed. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and association management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Canva is a plus. Bachelor's degree required.
