What does a successful QA Automation Engineer do at Fiserv?

Write code to automate testing process, including Unit tests, Integration tests and end to end tests. Create test scripts and frameworks to validate the functionality of applications Verify the software meets quality standards. Design and execute automated tests to identify bugs and issues in software Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipeline to ensure that code changes are automatically tested, validated and deployed Performance test API's and UI to assess how well the application performs on load, stress and scalability testing Design and maintain test automation frameworks that enable efficient and scalable automated testing. Choose/recommend appropriate tools and technologies to accelerate test automation Collaborate closely with developers, product, BA's and other stakeholders to understand software requirements, discuss issues and provide feedback for improving quality Participate in code reviews to ensure that automation code is maintainable, efficient and follows coding best practices Strong foundation in programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python), test automation tools and testing methodologies Drive End to End customer journey automation creation - resolving application, integration and environmental constraints, and planning effectively You'll keep in touch with trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable.

What You Need To Have

7+ years of Automation and Validation experience 7+ years of experience with the BDD frameworks Programming and Scripting proficiency in Java, Javascript or Python Expertise with automation tools and frameworks like BDD, Playwright, Cypress to build automated tests Ability to design effective and efficient test cases Understanding and working knowledge of version control systems like Git CICD knowledge of tools like Jenkins, GitLab API (RESTful or SOAP) testing proficiency Database knowledge, SQL queries Ability to create and manage test data sets for automated regression runs Agile and DevOps practices familiarity Excellent problem solving skills

What Would Be Great To Have

Knowledge of performance testing tools like Jmeter, K6. Understanding of security testing concepts and tools. Containerization and Orchestration concepts and familiarity with Podman or Docker and Kubernetes. Cloud platform experience for setting up test environments (AWS or Azure). Mobile automation testing and knowledge of Appium
