Event Supervisors The Event Supervisor would be working between 3 different venue locations-Metropolitan Ballroom, Walker Art Center, and The Beach Club. D'Amico Catering is a renowned hospitality company with a strong presence in the Twin Cities area. Our commitment to delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences sets us apart in the industry. We cater to a diverse range of events, from weddings and corporate functions to social gatherings and private parties. We are seeking a talented and experienced Event Supervisor to join our team This role requires that you are able to travel to a variety of different venues in the Metro area. The Event Supervisor is responsible for the on-site management of an event. In collaboration with the General Manager or Banquet Manager, this position will lead the service staff to execute the event according to D’Amico Catering standards. This position will be the liaison between the client and D’Amico displaying the highest level of hospitality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Display genuine concern with the success of each event and makes every effort to achieve that priority. 2. Take pride in work and is committed to professionalism in demeanor & appearance. 3. Act as a role model, presenting self well, helping co-workers and ensuring a team environment amongst staff. 4. Monitor and mentor staff ensuring all are treated with respect. 5. Act as the Company contact at the event showing good communicate with the convener, kitchen, and service staff to meet D’Amico Standards and client expectations. 6. Read and understand all event work orders and make an appropriate plan for the service staff in order to successfully execute the event and its timeline. 7. Ensure that all pre-event set-up and side work is done in accordance to the event order and Company standards. 8.Demonstrate superior knowledge of service standards and techniques of the Catering Servers. 9. Monitor performance to ensure all procedures are followed and service is timely. 10. Train, direct, coach and supervise service and bar staff to meet Company standards and procedures. 11. Maintain open communication with the Banquet Manager and General Manager regarding staff performance, providing regular updates and feedback as needed. 12. Uphold the quality and consistency of bar service in accordance with company policy and all relevant laws governing the safe service of alcohol. 13. Oversee cash handling and inventory control procedures at cash bars in the absence of a Banquet Manager. 14. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to all staff and guests, most of whom speak English. 2. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. 3. Must have manual hand and finger dexterity for working on service floor and in the Back-of House (BOH). 4. Must have math aptitude and the ability to analyze data in order to handle financial reporting and cash handling duties. 5. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to twelve hours in length. 6. Must be able to bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis. 7. Must have the ability to consistently arrive at work for all scheduled shifts as assigned. 8. Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
